Personalized Cause ® was born from a family's struggle with lupus, a little-known autoimmune disorder that causes the immune system to attack the body's own healthy cells. At the present time, lupus has no cure. Rather than feeling helpless, Personalized Cause ® was created to make a difference by bringing awareness to lupus in addition to other diseases that affect so many.
With the success of the awareness 'ribbon' in bringing AIDS and breast cancer to the mainstream, Personalized Cause ® took the concept two steps further. First, Personalized Cause ® designed high-quality awareness pins in a rainbow of colors to represent a multitude of different diseases and causes, bringing lesser known afflictions to the forefront. In light of the very personal nature of disease, Personalized Cause ® then provided a space on the pins to be personalized with a name, date or message.
Through the sale of its products, Personalized Cause ® hopes to raise awareness and compassion, and help to fund the fight against disease and benefit cause-related organizations.
