Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Awareness Week

Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Awareness Week

The Coaches vs. Cancer Suits And Sneakers Week, observed January 23 - 29, 2017, is a nationwide event that unites coaches across the country to raise awareness about the American Cancer Society's lifesaving mission, and promotes the American Cancer Society as a source of help and support. While coaching games during the week, coaches wear sneakers with their game attire as a visible reminder about the importance of nutrition and physical activity in reducing cancer risk.

To further increase awareness, the Suits And Sneakers Corporate Challenge engages basketball fans throughout the nation, allowing them the opportunity to make a difference in the fight against cancer at their workplace. Corporations can host a Wear Your Sneakers to Work Day; individuals make a minimum donation of $5 to the American Cancer Society for the opportunity to wear sneakers to work on Monday, January 30, 2017, or the first day of the NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament.
