National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is observed in March each yeaer. During March, all individuals, agencies, and organizations concerned with the challenges of developmental disabilities are encouraged to observe this month with appropriate observances and activities directed toward increasing public awareness of the needs and the potential of Americans with developmental disabilities.
The National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) and the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) have come together again to plan a campaign for Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month 2018!
National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month teaches about developmental disabilities, the importance of inclusion within every aspect of life, and shares the stories of individuals with a disability to show that a successful life is possible!
