National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day, observed in February and sponsored by the Alliance for Aging Research, is designed to increase recognition of the specific risks and symptoms of heart valve disease, improve detection and treatment, and ultimately save lives. While heart valve disease can be disabling and deadly, available treatments can save lives, making education and awareness particularly important.
National Heart Value and Disease Awareness Day is an important observance, on which campaign partners — advocates, educators, and health care professionals — help to spread the word about valve disease.
