National Radon Action Month
National Radon Action Month observed in January and sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, is a time to increase awareness of radon. You can’t see it or smell it, but radon could be present at a dangerous level in your home. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer deaths among non-smokers in America and claims the lives of about 21,000 Americans each year, according to the EPA.
National Radon Action Month, sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, is a time to increase awareness of radon, and to spur advocacy on behalf of those suffering with the emotional, financial and physical burden of radon exposure.
