Relaxation Day, observed in August, is about taking a step back to unwind and decompress. Although a certain amount of stress is normal, too much of it can be harmful to one's physical and mental health.
Relaxation Day is a holiday for people to take a break from their hectic lives and to smell the proverbial roses. On this holiday, people are encouraged to engage in activities that not only rest their bodies but their minds, as well.
Relaxation Day reminds us to take care of ourselves. Read a book, get a massage, watch a movie, go for a long walk, or take a nap. No matter what you choose to do, just remember to take it easy, even if it’s only for a few minutes.
