World Autism Awareness Day is organized by the United Nations Department of Public Information and Department of Economic and Social Affairs. World Autism Awareness Day takes place on April 2.
World Autism Month occurs in April and is sponsored by Autism Speaks.
Joined by the international community, hundreds of thousands of landmarks, buildings, homes and communities around the world, light blue is used in recognition of people living with autism. Autism-friendly events and educational activities take place all month to increase understanding and acceptance and foster worldwide support.
