National Healthy Skin Month
November 1 – November 30 CDT
National Healthy Skin Month, observed in November and sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology, is a public health and awareness campaign that aims to raise awareness about the importance of having healthy skin. It is also a time to educate the public about common skin problems that affect people and how they can be prevented. One way skin cancer can be prevented is through the proper use of sunscreen.
National Healthy Skin Month seeks to inform the public about how they can reduce their skin cancer risk by protecting their skin from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. The National Healthy Skin Month public health and awareness campaign also works to increase the public’s knowledge about other essential skin care tips.
