National Minority Cancer Awareness Month, observed in April, is sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and other organizations across the country. This month is dedicated to calling attention to minority cancer health disparities and the need for awareness.
National Minority Cancer Awareness Month is a time for the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and many of its divisions, offices, and centers to provide programs, funding mechanisms, and tools that focus on cancer health disparities research, cancer types and disparities, and building a diverse biomedical workforce.
The awareness color for Cancer Awareness is Lavender.
