National Women's Check-Up Day, observed in May, was established to enhance women’s awareness of both their mental and physical health.
National Women’s Check-up Day encourages women to put their health at the top of their priority list. Not only does a regular check-up create a greater feeling of safety, it also teaches women how to take simple preventive steps on a daily basis to maintain healthy behavior. These steps include following a healthy diet, reducing stress, cutting down on or eliminating nicotine, caffeine, and alcohol, and getting more involved in physical activity.
The awareness color for Women's Health is Pink.
